Words defy,
decry my lack of talent,
to express,
feeling more than cleverness,
without remorse,
harsh,
bitter pill,
ill will,
granting no solace, no respite,
despite the cries of sorrow,
woe and fear,
too dear,
to begin again,
only to fail, and then,
pale
and blanch to some,
level unreached,
dispatched to teach,
me nothing,
at all,
withdrawal,
into silence.and yet, I go,
know,
understanding not yet,
regret,
but folly, continues,
the dance
per chance
to accept the fate
the call of the words
debate, not
the swords of the wounds
swoons
the poet into oblivion
if held silent, mute,
his pen will write on its own
a poem,
and the world will see
and judge he
who writes, harsh or sweet
no matter, complete
the poetry stands
demands
attention.
And words defy.
