Time enough for poems to speak to inner souls,
Time enough for heartaches to heal,
Time enough for rivals to come toward each's poles,
Time enough for learning to feel,

The time it takes to give one pause,
   to learn mistakes can teach,
The time is spent retracting claws,
   and hugging what's in reach,

Time remains to save the day if we but try to,
Time remains but don't dare dawdle,
Time remains to change approach, to care and cry too,
Time remains to love and cuddle,

Time heals what once was broken,
   given time, recovers,
Time tells then by word and token,
   en'mies can be lovers,

Time ticks by and as we watch dwindles to the past,
Time ticks mark the hour's passage,
Time ticks stop when rivals lash their hatred to the mast,
Time ticks anew with a message,  

Hear ye, called out to the world's ear,  
   forgiveness is in vogue,
Hear ye, this day, this week, this year,
   calming what once was rogue,

Time teaches patience, reaching the impossible,
Time teaches all things can occur,
Time teaches we're in control and responsible,
Time teaches, seek what we prefer,

Time is all this and so much more,
   it spans infinity,
Time is all this, but still at its core,
   controlled by you and me.
